इस पुस्तक के बारे में
A is for Arjun. Not A is for Apple.
Most early-learning books teach children that culture begins at the apple, the ball, and the cat. This one teaches them, gently, in illustrated pages, that culture can begin at the alphabet of their own civilization.
Part One is the English A–Z, from Arjun the archer to Akshara the imperishable syllable. Part Two is the complete Devanagari varnamala, all fifty-two letters, including the six that rarely begin a word. Each of those six gets a full spread of its own, anchored to a word it lives inside: Ganga, Panchatantra, Ramayana, Sheshanaga, ghada, parhna.
The two alphabets are never mapped onto each other. Each keeps its own words, so ग is Ganesha and स is Sarasvati whatever the English page for that sound may be. A child meets both traditions whole.
Inside:
- 78 illustrated picture-book pages, 26 in English, 52 in Devanagari
- Authentic Sanskrit names in plain English with clear meanings
- Stories from the Mahabharata, Ramayana, Vedas and beyond, never sectarian
- Two reference charts: the whole A to Z, and all fifty-two varna on one page
- Parent Notes in both English and Hindi, with talking points
Written for ages 3–6, but a book grandparents will want to read aloud as much as the children want to hear it.
चित्र डिजिटल साधनों से, जिनमें कृत्रिम बुद्धि (AI) भी सम्मिलित है, बनाए गए और फिर सावधानी से चुने और सँवारे गए हैं।
